Phillip Garvey dies working at Sitting Bull Mine, 1883 "Phillip Garvey, age 30 years, while wheeling waste material in a barrel, to the dump of the Sitting Bull Mine, fell over the cliff, about 40 feet high, and broke his neck on the rocks below.
